Terms and Conditions

Exeter Scrapstore Membership is open to anyone who is interested in re-using off-cuts and surplus materials in education, play, arts, crafts and other creative activities. Please note that we are not open to commercial businesses who intend to sell our scrap in any way.

Scrapstore materials are only for use in the above activities, and only within the place of the membership e.g. the particular school, playgroup or family, etc

Scrapstore materials must not be resold

Membership is by annual fee. A current membership card MUST be presented on each arrival at the Scrapstore

Members’ details are recorded on our database. They are treated in confidence, will not be passed to others, and will only be used in connection with the Scrapstore

Membership cards are not transferable and can only be used by the named card holder. Category B and C members can purchase additional cards for other named persons within the membership at any time during the life of the membership. These cards will expire on the same date as the first membership

Category A members can purchase up to one full basket of scrap on each visit and cannot take bin bags of scrap

Category B and C members have no restrictions on what they can take

Scrap must only be used in the setting for which the membership applies

It is the user’s responsibility to determine suitability of scrap materials for use

Children under 16 are welcome in the Scrapstore if accompanied by a responsible adult at all times

The Scrapstore reserves the right to limit the quantity of any particular scrap item(s) taken from the Scrapstore. This is to ensure availability of materials to as many members as is reasonably possible

The Scrapstore reserves the right to alter the above information at any time without notice

Please use scrapstore materials responsibly by upcycling items into something long lasting, beautiful & useful so that they create the most benefit to the environment and do not eventually end up in landfill...
