Exeter Scrapstore is a charity and licensed waste carrier.
We support our suppliers by removing their materials from the waste stream and into play, creativity and education. These are materials that would normally incur considerable costs to dispose of, often with specialist processors.
We have over 20 regular suppliers across the south west peninsula, from biomedical and military industry to agricultural and sustainable resource producers, packaging and furniture makers, publishers, printers and statutory bodies. We also receive one-off donations from organisations and closed businesses – often shop fittings, dead stock and light tools, all brought back into use.
We have a high-top long-wheel-base van and will usually collect to its capacity on a 1 to 6 monthly basis from each supplier, as required.
We are open for a conversation about materials that are by-products, seconds and end-of-line stock. We take hard and soft plastics, card, film, fabric, paper, ceramics, wood, wool, synthetic fibres, fused materials, foil, magnets, cork and much more.
We don’t have a set charge for collecting material from suppliers, but we often ask for sponsorship, financial donations or support with the charitable aspects of our business.
If you’re a manufacturer, producer or wholesaler who is looking at your environmental aspects and impacts and considering reuse as one of the potential routes for your waste, please drop us a line: info@exeterscrapstore.co.uk
